Could you be our new Community Hub Advisor?

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Engaging Communities Southwest (ECSW) Team!

The new Paignton Community Hub Advisor post holder will:

  • Be the first point of contact for members of the public visiting Paignton Community Hub (PCH).
  • Provide information and signposting to people seeking help. This could include helping people to complete forms, making calls and referrals.
  • Update and maintain accurate records using the shared data system, which records client details, daily enquiry numbers and referrals made.
  • Always ensure that confidentiality is maintained in line with GDPR.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of the VCSE and statutory sector.
  • Liaise with PCH lead over issues/trends identified from speaking with the public.
  • Support the recruitment and ongoing training of PCH volunteers or placement students to ensure their roles are carried out safely and effectively, and knowledge and skills are kept up to date.
  • Keep up to date with changing services and information through regular meetings and training with your line manager.
  • Provide administration support to the PCH lead/Network coordinator. This will include input into the PCH newsletter, taking notes at various meetings, arranging rooms bookings, ensuring that posters and advertising materials are up to date in the hub and on social media, preparing a weekly rota and booking and timetabling of PCH room hire.
  • Support with producing website/social media/marketing to ensure that the general public and other VCSE are aware of the PCH and that its profile remains high and positive.
  • Actively participate in the development of PCH Events, sharing ideas and being an active participant in their planning and successful implementation.
  • Deliver Blood Pressure and ECG monitoring at the request of individuals attending PCH (training will be provided.)
  • Collect regular feedback from members of the public and visiting organisations in order to evaluate and continue developing the PCH offer to meet the changing needs of the public.
