Website Review & Evaluation
We worked alongside Torbay Council, NHS partners, community organisations and local residents to review adult social care webpages and identify barriers to accessing information online.
Using surveys and focus groups – including engagement with carers and people with learning disabilities – we gathered feedback on language, navigation, accessibility and content clarity.
Recommendations led to improvements focused on making information easier to understand, more accessible and simpler to navigate for people seeking support, often at times of crisis.
Project outcomes included recommendations to:
- Simplify language and reduce jargon to align with average reading ages
- Improve navigation and make support contacts easier to find
- Increase use of visuals, subtitles and accessible formats
- Develop clearer pathways for people needing urgent help
- Explore digital accessibility tools including translation, text-to-speech and personalised viewing options
